Turmeric Pineapple Popsicles
Health benefits galore with a popsicle in your hand that you can grab anytime right out of the freezer! Freezing juices into popsicles can be a great way to enjoy a heap of nutrients and antioxidants on a daily basis in the sun! This blend is high in beta-carotenoids, lutein, Vitamin C, manganese, potassium and other electrolytes plus the amazing medicinal properties of turmeric. It also offers nutrient support for cardiovascular health, eye health, anti-cancer benefits and joint health!
Ingredients:
- 2 oranges
- ¼ pineapple
- 1 in (2.5 cm) piece of fresh turmeric
- 1 carrot
- ¼ sweet potato (optional)
Directions:
- Wash all produce well.
- Peel oranges, and remove rind from pineapple.
- All all ingredients through the juicer.
- Pour into popsicle moulds overnight to enjoy the next day!
Substitutions:
- Orange – mandarin, tangelo, grapefruit
- Pineapple – apple, pears
- Turmeric – ginger
- Carrot – butternut squash, pumpkin
- Sweet potato – carrot, butternut squash, pumpkin
